Please read and tick as appropriate the following check list

1. Automist Pump Location

If located in the same room as the spray head, pump must be located NO MORE than 1000mm from floor level. The minimum space required (per pump) is 400mm(H) 230mm(W) 330mm(D

2. Electric Supply

Per each pump unit, 1 non – switched fused spur, the feed must be provided by a fire proof cable (FP200) from an independent C10 breaker in the consumer unit. The feed must be live and permanent on the day of installation.

3. Water Supply

Per each pump unit, no more than 0.5m from the non – switched fused spurs, cold water feed terminating in a ¾ BSP, washing machine type isolating valve. The feed must be live and permanent with a minimum water pressure of 1bar on the day of installation.

4. High Pressure Hose & Spray Head Back Box

The Hydra back box will need to be chased into the wall to sit flush with the finished plaster before we attend site. The Hydra spray head should be positioned at 1450mm (+/- 50mm) from finished floor level. The high pressure hose must enter from below the spray head and must be fitted so that it can be extended / retracted from the back box/wall for about 100mm. If the hose is being ‘chased in’ to a wall/floor etc it must be fitted within a conduit with an internal bore of no less than 36mm diameter, this must be presented towards the rear of the back box preferably with some front to back movement to allow fitting of the head.

5. Beldon Power Cable

The power cable must run from the pump unit via each spray head (daisy chain) to terminate at the last spray head. To allow the engineer to make the connection at each spray head a loop of approx. 30cm circumference must be left protruding from the back box.

6. Heat Alarm

Each heat alarm (if in separate rooms) or multiples of heat alarms (if positioned within the same room) must be hard wired back to the corresponding Hydra spray head. The cable must be in position, protruding from the ceiling and terminating in the spray head back box before we can complete the installation.

Building Control Details & Permission: If your installation is required by Building Control to meet a Building Regulations issue, we will require the name of the Building Control officer, his or her Local Authority Borough (or company name if a private Building Control) and confirmation that they have agreed/accepted your proposal to install Automist Fire Suppression. These details are required by the system manufacturer (Plumis Ltd) so that they can issue the Commissioning Certificate and Manufacturer’s Warranty.

We require photo evidence of the completed pre-install work so we can check this is correct and help you to avoid a failed install charge. Please send photos of; water connection/s, electrical breaker/s, unswitched fuse spur/s, black cable in ceiling, and grey cable and hose entering the backbox/s.
